Automatic Voter Registration


Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Rep. Robert Brady (D-PA) introduced the Automatic Voter Registration Act of 2017 (H.R. 2876/S. 1353) on June 14, 2017. This legislation would allow online voter registration in all 50 states, as well as creating an opportunity for eligible citizens to register whenever they interact with a government agency.

Action:

Use this handy League of Women Voters site to send letters to your MoC and Senators asking them to support this bill. If you don’t want further communications from the LWV, you don’t have to check the boxes to be added to their lists. If you want to give them a donation after you’ve sent your letters, they’ll give you that opportunity!
