Don’t Allow GMO’s in Organic Food
From GMO Free USA:
The USDA has deregulated products of gene editing, a new method of genetic engineering, failing to protect consumers and the environment from completely new GMOs that have never before existed and that have not gone through satisfactory, long-term safety testing. Recently, USDA Under Secretary Greg Ibach made comments before the House Agriculture Subcommittee suggesting that products of gene editing methods be allowed in organic production.
The USDA/National Organic Standards Board will be meeting to discuss this and is accepting comments until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, October 3. You can post your comment via this GMO Free USA web page. You can edit their pre-written comment if you prefer.
