The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee has passed the bipartisan TICK Act, which would establish an Office of Oversight and Coordination for Vector-Borne Diseases (especially tick-borne disease) in the office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Now that the bill has been passed by the HELP Committee, it will go forward to the full Senate for a vote.
This much-needed bill tackles the problem of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases head on, and it’s vital that it pass.
