End Forced Arbitration
Many employment agreements and commercial contracts force employees and consumers to agree to submit disputes and grievances to arbitration presided over by a “judge” hired by the employer or corporation. Members of the House and Senate have introduced legislation which would protect workers and prevent employers from forcing employees to submit to arbitration. The legislation also safeguards the rights of employees to participate in collective action, as well as protecting the rights of consumers to seek redress through the courts.
