Protect Dreamers Trump has tried to end the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and to revoke hundreds of thousands of immigrants’ Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Court injunctions have allowed the DACA and TPS protections to continue, but given the current membership of the Supreme Court, these programs are in jeopardy. House Democrats have introduced legislation to protect Dreamers and TPS recipients and to provide a pathway to citizenship for them. The bill is H.R. 6, American Dream and Promise Act of 2019. S. 874, the Dream Act of 2019, is a bipartisan Senate bill which offers some of the same protections. Action: 1. Contact your Member of Congress. If they are already a cosponsor, thank them. If not, ask them to get on board and support H.R. 6, American Dream and Promise Act of 2019 2. Contact your Senators. If they are already cosponsors of the bill, thank them. If not, ask them to support S. 874, the Dream Act of 2019.
