Senators Susan Collins (R-ME), Angus King (I-ME) and Tina Smith (D-MN) have introduced the TICK Act which will mandate funding, oversight, coordination, and data collection with a view to supporting prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections, which have become a huge health problem in the United States. Cases have risen 1,400% since 2003.
1. Contact your Senators and ask them to support the TICK Act. If you have tick-born infections, or know someone who does, be sure to tell them!
2. Contact one of the Senators who introduced the act and thank them.
