Our heads are spinning with Too Much Breaking News. So let’s just calm down for a minute and revisit the looming catastrophe that is the AHCA - unless of course the Senate de-catastrophizes it. Which is unlikely, given that the 13-member Senate group working on it is comprised entirely of old white dudes. (They did deign to summon Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) into one of their meetings, but haven’t gone as far as inviting her to join the group.) No disrespect to our venerable Caucasian brethren, but it ain’t right, and it don’t look good.

Action:

Contact Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who heads up the group. Tell him that his working group is ridiculously unrepresentative of the people who are most affected by AHCA and that he should fire at least half of the members and replace them with women and minorities.
