Gerrymandering

Pennsylvania Voters

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently voted to override congressional district maps which were drawn in favor of the GOP.

PA State Rep. Cris Dush has introduced resolutions to impeach four of the justices involved in the anti-gerrymandering decision.

Action:

1. Contact Cris Dush and ask him to with-
draw his resolutions and to respect the Court’s decision.

2. Contact your own PA state rep. and ask them to oppose Cris Dush’s attempts to impeach the justices.

Other Voters

A metric which measures something called “the Efficiency Gap” shows the extent to which votes in a given state are distributed in such a way as to favor one party over another.

Action:

Take a look at the efficiency gap in your own state. If your state is listed as a culprit, contact your Governor and ask for the district maps to be redrawn. (Even if the map unfairly favors Democrats!)
