Voting Rights


In March, the House passed H.R. 1, for the People Act of 2019, which addresses voter rights, redistricting, ethics, political spending, and election security. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled that Federal Courts can’t get involved in the prevention of partisan gerrymandering, it’s vital that this legislation is passed by the Senate and becomes law. However, Mitch McConnell is refusing to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.

Action:

1. Contact your Senators and ask them to urge McConnell to bring H.R. 1 to the Senate floor for a vote and ask them to give the bill their full support.

2. Contact Mitch McConnell and ask him to bring H.R. 1 to the floor for a full vote.
