Abuse of Detained Migrants


Migrants, both adults and children, are subject to privation and abuse when detained by ICE and CBP. Huge numbers of people are now held in custody, and there are reports of vital medications being confiscated and not returned, unsanitary conditions, overcrowding, denial of necessary medical care, etc. The Trumpian agenda of rounding up and detaining immigrants and asylum seekers is solely punitive in nature. No reasonable or prudential policy is being furthered by these draconian measures, and nothing can justify the inhumane treatment of these vulnerable people.


Action:

Contact your Member of Congress and Senators to express your outrage at the treatment of detained migrants and migrant children, insist on a full investigation into the conditions under which they are currently being held, and demand an end to the mass detention of all undocumented migrants.
