Funding the Government The House, on January 3, passed H.R. 21, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2019, which would fund the government through September. On the same day, the House passed H.J. Res. 1, “making further continuing appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2019, and for other purposes,” would would fund DHS until February 8 without providing funding for a wall. The Senate has still to vote on these measures. Action: Contact your Senators to say you applaud passage of H.R. 21 and H.J. Res. 1, and ask them to make it a priority to support and pass this legislation in the Senate also.
