House Votes Against Emergency


If your MoC is a Democrat, they voted to block Trump’s declaration of a national emergency. Thirteen Republicans joined Democrats to oppose the emergency.


Action:

Contact your MoC - if they’re a Dem, thank them for their vote. If they’re one of the 13 Republicans who voted with the Democrats, thank them profusely. If they’re a Republican who opposed the measure, tell them you’re disappointed.

H.R. 8

The House is set to vote this week on H.R. 8, Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, which would greatly tighten up background checks and safeguard against guns getting into the hands of felons and malefactors.

Action:

While you’re contacting your MoC (above), tell them you are looking forward to passage of H.R. 8.
