Hold Trump’s feet to the fire over his conflicts of interest ...

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D- MA) and Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA5) have introduced S. 65/HR 371: Presidential Conflicts of Interest Act of 2017 which would “require the president and vice president to both reveal and divest themselves from any potential financial conflicts of interest. The bill would also apply for presidential and vice presidential spouses, children, and appointees.” (See this page for more details.) The bill is currently in limbo with the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Action:

1. Call your Senator and ask him/her to co-sponsor and support the bill. If your senator is on the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, ask him or her to expedite approval by the committee so that the bill can proceed. Peters (D-MI), Rob Portman (R-OH), Paul Rand (R-KY), John Tester (D-MT).​
2. And while you have them on the phone, you may as well remind them that you OPPOSE the nominations of Steve Mnuchin (pr. muh-noo-shin) (here’s why), Scott Pruitt (here’s why), and Andrew Puzder (here’s why).
