Resistance Recess

Congressional recess is July 28 to September 5 - time for our reps to come home and face the music.


Action:

1. Look up a “Resistance Recess” event near you - go to this MoveOn.org page, put in your zip code, and see if there’s a local event. If you can attend, that’s your action for the week! Whether or not you are able to attend, publicize the event on social media.

OR

2. Call one of your senators or your MoC and ask for a meeting during recess. Have in mind a topic you’d like to discuss. There’s only the slimmest chance you’ll get a meeting, but it’ll put them on notice.

OR

3. Call one of your senators or your MoC and ask if there’s a town hall or public meeting during recess. If the answer is no, ask why not. If the answer is yes, find out details and publicize on social media.
