Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act of 2017
11.4 million Americans pay 50% or more of their income on housing, and there is a growing scarcity of affordable housing. This bill seeks to modify the existing affordable housing credit to incentivize the creation and availability of more affordable housing. The bill is introduced by a Democrat, with 10 Democratic co-sponsors, eight Republican, and one Independent. It’s nice to see bipartisan legislation in a good cause.
