Yemen On Wednesday, the Senate voted to advance a resolution to end U.S. military support for the Saudi war against Yemen. This marks the first time in history that the Senate has advanced a bill to withdraw forces from an unauthorized war using the War Powers Resolution Act. The current resolution - S.J.Res. 54 - was introduced into the Senate in February by Senator Bernie Sanders, but has won support recently because of the Saudi murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The resolution is expected to come to a vote this week. Action: Contact your Senators and ask them to vote in favor of S.J. Res. 54, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities in the Republic of Yemen that have not been authorized by Congress.
