Journalist Arrested


Dan Heyman, a reporter covering AHCA, was arrested Tuesday for repeatedly questioning Secretary of Health & Human Services, Tom Price, about whether or not rape and domestic abuse constitute pre-existing conditions under the proposed health care legislation. The incident occurred at the West Virginia State Capitol.

Action:

1.  Email Secretary Price at [email protected] and ask him:

• to apologize to Dan Heyman for being the cause of his arrest;
• to publicly answer the question posed by Mr. Heyman; and
• to request that all charges against Mr. Heyman be dropped.

2.   Write a letter of complaint to the police department involved:
     West Virginia Division of Protective Services
     Capitol Police Department
     Capitol Building
     Charleston, WV 25305
